FROM THE OASIS PAPAGAYO RESORT &
OUT OF THE MAIN ENTRANCE GATE:
Green (straight on)
The water park 600m (5 minute walk).

Yellow (turn right)
The nearest restaurants & bars, supermarket & health centre 450m (5 minute walk).
The Dunes National Park and La Playa Grandes 1.8km (20 minute walk).

Orange (straight on)
The start of Corralejo town centre, restaurants and shops 850m (10 minute walk).
The nearest beaches:
Playa de los Verilitos (& the Waikiki Beach Bar) 1.6km (20 minute walk).
Playa Vista Lobos (Popcorn beach) 1.7km (20 minute walk).

Blue (turn left)
To the airport 36km (35 minute drive).
IN CORRALEJO, THERE ARE A FEW WAYS OF GETTING ABOUT BESIDES WALKING, THE BUS OR THE CAR:
The taxis are good value here and there are also regular buses to key places.

If you fancy it there are electric scooters and e-Bikes for hire too.
~
A taxi from town centre (via the taxi rank) back to Papagayo is around €3.50.
~
A taxi to El Cotillo is around €10.00 each way.

THERE IS SO MUCH TO SEE AND DO
IN CORRALEJO & ON THE ISLAND AS A WHOLE.
Its rugged, rustic, natural beauty is breath taking.
It is about 2 hours to travel by car from one end of the island to the other and around half an hour, from one side to the other.
There is lots to see for any explorers out there. So many beautiful places to visit.

Corralejo has a bit more going on than the other places on the island, more hustle and bustle,
but you can easily find many quiet places to retreat and relax.
~
The Parque Natural sand dunes and La Playas Grandes are extremely beautiful and big enough to never feel busy or overcrowded.
~
The town has lots of smaller bays with many a beach front restaurant or bar.
Also the town has the fabulous music square.
This is where live music is played every night, whilst you sit and dine, or dance if it takes your fancy.

There are always events going on in town too, so there is never a dull moment.
Whether you're looking for somewhere to eat, drink, people watch, or to join in the many celebrations & stroll from shop to shop, there is something for everyone.
It is a lovely town.

There is the fabulous port too, which is the main pick up point for many a boat trip, or just nice for a stroll through.

If you are a water baby, there is plenty of water sports available, especially surfing.
Fuerteventura is a surfing haven.
There is a water park too which is fantastic for big and small children alike.
A FEW HIGHLIGHTS ARE:
A visit to Playas Grandes, Parque Natural sand dunes, Popcorn Beach and Acua Water Park

A walk/cycle or drive to the inactive volcano Calderon Hondo, to walk around the circumference. You can see for miles from the top.
You will also see the ground squirrels, which live in the rocks at the top and are very friendly.
Most locals don't like you to feed them though as are seen as non-native vermin.
They are very cute though.

Lajares is a small surfers town and very chilled. Great if you just want to sit back and watch the world go by.
12 mins by car from Corralejo.
~
El Cotillo has one of the most beautiful bays in Europe.
It's a lovely small fishing town where you can eat in a lovely restaurant and watch the beautiful sunset.
20 mins by Taxi from Corralejo or a 4 hour walk around the coast.
~
A visit to Lobos island by boat, with a snorkelling stop off to swim with the fish is great fun.
It is a nature reserve, so can only be visited as part of an excursion.

A visit to Lanzarote for the day, via 30 minute ferry, from Corralejo port.
~
The Fuerteventura island tour is fabulous too.
~
Oasis Wildlife park is excellent.
It is in the south of the island 1 hour 15 mins in a car from Corralejo.

Ajuy is One of the most beautiful black sand beaches to be seen,
within a gorgeous town, amazing restaurants, with amazing caves, views
and wildlife
~
Betancuria is a stunning old town in the heart of the mountains,
the journey to it has some spectacular views and the town is simply beautiful,
with amazing restaurants and shops
~
The hippy town of Los Molinos is a world away from the built up towns on the island.
When there you can see it is somewhere people stay to live the simple life.
You can almost begin to feel how stress free that life could be.
It's a beautiful and rustic soul place.

A trip out to see the dolphins is also recommended
